The gradebook publishing workflow
Draft, review, publish, and how corrections keep report cards trustworthy.
Grades move through three states in Masira: draft, review and published. The workflow keeps report cards trustworthy, because a published grade can only change through an approved correction.
Entering grades
Open Grading and the Gradebook tab, then choose the class, subject and reporting term. Enter each student's scores against the assessments you recorded for the exam.
Review and publish
When entry is complete, move to the Review & publish tab. Review the computed totals against your grading scale, then publish. Published results are what students and parents see in the portal, and what feeds GPA and transcript calculations.
Correction requests
After publishing, a grade can only change through a correction request:
- A teacher submits the new value with a reason.
- An administrator reviews it.
- On approval the grade updates, and the original value, the reason and who approved stay in the history.
Transcripts
The GPA & transcript tab shows each track's GPA and the transcript that results from your configuration. Print or export it when families or other schools need an official record.
