Classes, subjects and rollover
Create classes per track, attach subjects with their books, and roll forward to a new year.
Classes hold the structure of your institution: which programme a student belongs to, who teaches it, and the default fee. This guide covers creating classes, attaching subjects and rolling forward to a new year.
Creating a class
- Open Classes and add a new class.
- Choose the track, such as Dars-e-Nizami, Hifz, K-12, pre-Alim or a custom programme.
- Set the section, capacity, class teacher and the default monthly fee.
- Add a gender restriction or prerequisite classes if they apply.
New classes start disabled so you can prepare them, and are enabled when you are ready for students to join. Classes can also be archived.
Subjects and books
On the class details, attach each subject with the book and author studied, the teacher and the total marks. Subject categories include Qur'an, Fiqh, Hadith, Tafsir, Nahw and Sarf, Arabic literature, Aqeedah, Tarbiyah, English, Math and Science, and you can add your own.
Students
The class roster shows everyone placed in the class. Add students from the student record, or move a student by changing their class.
Rollover
At year end, use rollover to copy your class structure into the new academic year instead of rebuilding it. Review the new classes, adjust teachers and capacities, then enable them for the new year.
