Lesson, prayer, Hifz and boarding attendance with configurable codes, kiosk check-in and automatic daily summaries.
Attendance in an Islamic institution is more than a morning register. Students attend academic lessons, Hifz sessions, congregational prayers and, in boarding schools, evening check-ins. Masira records each of these contexts separately and then calculates a daily attendance status for every student overnight, using rules your institution defines.

Fast roster marking
- Mark a whole class present in one tap, then change exceptions.

- Arrival and departure times and notes can be recorded.
Prayer and Hifz contexts
- Record attendance for Salah, Hifz sessions and boarding check-ins separately from lessons.
- Each context can count differently toward the daily total.
- Prayer times are calculated from your institution's location and chosen method.
Nightly daily calculation
- Every night Masira converts session marks into a daily attendance record per student.
- Rules define the thresholds for full day, half day and absent.
- Administrators can override a day with a recorded reason.
Kiosk check-in
- A kiosk mode lets students check in at the entrance.
- Late arrivals are timestamped automatically.
- Marks are tagged as manual, kiosk or offline sync for auditing.
Reports and chronic absence
- Average daily attendance and membership figures.
- Lists of chronically absent students for early intervention.
- Export attendance to CSV at any time.
Guardian alerts
- Absence notifications by email to guardians are supported.

Questions
Does attendance work offline?
Offline sync is tracked in the data model; full offline mode is being developed during the beta.
Can I define my own codes?
Yes. Attendance codes are configurable per institution.
Can one bad period mark a student absent for the day?
No, unless your rule says so. Daily conversion uses your chosen fallback: a bridge period, a majority of periods or a percentage threshold.
