The admissions pipeline
From enquiry to enrolled student, with the record created for you at the last step.
The admissions module is a simple pipeline: record an enquiry, move the applicant through your process, then enroll the ones you accept. Masira creates the student record for you at the last step.
Recording an enquiry
Open Admissions and add a new applicant. Record the applicant's name, gender, date of birth, the class applied for, and the guardian's name, phone and email. Add notes for anything else you track, such as placement test results.
The applicant pipeline
Each applicant has a status you control: applied, interview, accepted, rejected or enrolled.
- Applied is the starting point after the enquiry.
- Interview marks applicants you have called in.
- Accepted or Rejected records your decision.
- Enrolled means the applicant has become a student.
Enrolling an applicant
When you enroll an accepted applicant, Masira creates the student record automatically, carrying over the name, date of birth, class and guardian details. Finish by opening the student's profile to link the family, confirm the track and add anything the admissions form did not cover.
Keeping the pipeline tidy
- Review the list weekly, starting with applicants in interview.
- Keep interview notes in the record so decisions are easy to revisit.
- Leave rejected applicants in place; they may reapply next year.
