Calendar, timetable & prayer times

A dual Hijri-Gregorian school calendar with academic years, terms, weekly patterns, Islamic occasions, holidays and prayer-aware lesson scheduling with conflict detection.

Time is the backbone of a school. Masira's scheduling specification treats prayer times, the Hijri calendar and Ramadan patterns as first-class constraints. Timetables are not just tables on a wall, they become dated lessons that respect holidays and terms, and warn you before a teacher, room or class is double-booked.

How it works

  1. 1

Set your timezone, location and prayer calculation method, and choose how dates are displayed.

  2. 2

Create the academic year, terms and holidays.

  3. 3

Define each class's weekly pattern and schedule lessons around prayer times.

  4. 4

Export to .ics for Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

Years, terms and occasions

  • Academic years and reporting terms, shown in both Hijri and Gregorian dates.
  • Holidays, Ramadan and Eid occasions applied to existing lessons automatically.
  • Manual Hijri adjustments to match local moon sighting.

Prayer-aware scheduling

  • Prayer times calculated from your institution's coordinates, with the major calculation methods and Hanafi or standard Asr.
  • Lessons are placed around the prayer times your institution actually follows.
  • The daily schedule adjusts with the seasons instead of being rewritten.

Weekly patterns

  • Define a template week per class and generate dated lessons from it.
  • Schedule a single lesson or a recurring series with a date range.
  • Teacher, room and class conflicts are detected before anything is saved.

Built for Ramadan and boarding

  • Ramadan timetables and shortened days are supported through occasions and holidays.
  • Prayer and boarding contexts are first-class parts of the day, tracked in attendance.
  • The calendar exports to .ics for Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar.
