Grading, GPA & transcripts
A full grading engine: scales, weighted categories, draft-review-publish workflow, correction requests, dual-track GPA and printable transcripts.
Islamic institutions grade more than one kind of programme. Masira's grading engine handles traditional marks, weighted categories, standards-based scores and learning standards, and computes GPA separately for academic, Dars-e-Nizami and Hifz tracks. Once grades are published, they can only change through a reviewed correction request, so report cards stay trustworthy.
How it works
- 1
Set up grading scales, weighted categories and calculation rules per reporting term.
- 2
Teachers enter grades in the gradebook as drafts.
- 3
Publish results to students and parents after review.
- 4
Handle any later change through an approved correction request.
Scales and categories
- Grading scales, including traditional marks or letter grades.
- Weighted grade categories such as classwork and exams, with category weights that must total 100 percent.
- Calculation rules that turn category scores into final grades.
Draft, review, publish
- Teachers enter grades in the gradebook as drafts.
- Administrators review, then publish, results to students and parents.
- Published grades cannot be edited in place.
Correction requests
- Changes to published grades go through a correction request with a reason.
- Approvals are recorded with who approved and when.
- The original published value and the correction stay traceable.
Dual-track GPA and transcripts
- Separate GPA configurations for academic, Dars-e-Nizami and Hifz tracks.
- Blended or separate transcripts depending on your policy.
- Learning standards and standards-based scores supported alongside marks.
